We hosting the inaugural Consumer Duty Champions Forum, held by the Consumer Duty Alliance, an independent professional body, bringing together individuals and firms as they implement the FCA’s Consumer Duty requirements.
Firms across the retail financial services sector have committed significant resources to ready themselves for the FCA’s Consumer Duty implementation deadline.
A key challenge has been interpreting the FCA’s new, principles-based rules and applying them to an array of products, services and business models. Unsurprisingly, this has led to firms taking very different approaches to the same issue, creating uncertainty on what ‘good’ and ‘bad’ might look like.
Michael Lawrence and Chris Jones discussed some of the Duty’s thorniest issues and provided insightful guidance on how to cut through the noise and focus on the things that really matter.
